    I get the point of this piece but the question is how do we know as small business owners which social media to be involved in while at the same time optimizing our opportunties?

    That would depend on one’s interests and time commitment. I say just start with some thing that feels most comfortable and then just add to your stable of tools as you are able. I started with blogging, now I am adding Twitter and soon short video productions. One never is ‘done’ so enjoy the ride as much as possible. Is you are having fun results will follow sooner or later.
